Description
Are you looking for a bottom bracket for your bike that offers high quality, performance, and durability—without completely emptying your wallet? At DKBIKE, we are proud to present our brand-new brand: Vertex.
The name Vertex comes from the Latin word for top point or apex. It perfectly describes our new series of bottom brackets; they are designed to reach the absolute pinnacle of efficiency, durability, and precision. With a Vertex bottom bracket, you get high-end bike components optimized down to the smallest detail—designed for the rider who refuses to compromise.
No more creaking and annoying noises from your bike
Do you know the feeling? You pedal through, and suddenly it starts: An annoying creak, groan, or rattle from the crankset. These noises can be incredibly difficult to locate, but in the vast majority of cases, they stem from a worn or poorly manufactured bottom bracket.
With a Vertex bottom bracket with ceramic bearings, you reduce these nuisances to an absolute minimum—or eliminate them entirely. Our sealed, robust, and precision-fitted design ensures stiffness and fit that eliminate play and unwanted movement. The result? A completely silent and harmonious riding experience, season after season.
Why choose a Vertex bottom bracket with ceramic bearings?
When you upgrade to a ceramic bottom bracket from Vertex, you are investing directly in your enjoyment of cycling. Here are the main benefits:
- Noticeably lower friction: Hybrid ceramic balls made of silicon nitride are significantly harder and smoother than standard steel, providing a lighter and more effortless pedal stroke
- Extreme durability & wear resistance: Designed to withstand the harshest weather, heavy loads, and muddy Danish country roads and gravel roads
- Included grease syringe for maintenance: We know that a long lifespan requires care. That is why a small, smart grease syringe with special grease is included, so you can easily maintain the bearings yourself and significantly extend their lifespan
- 3-year warranty*: We stand 100% behind the quality. That is why we offer a full 3-year warranty on our Vertex bottom brackets—a testament to uncompromising build quality
- High-end performance at a fraction of the price: While high-end brands cost a fortune, at DKBIKE you get a comparable exclusive feel, quality, and watt savings at a price everyone can afford
How to choose the right Vertex bottom bracket for your bike
To find the perfect bottom bracket, you only need to know two things about your bike: How is your current bottom bracket attached to the frame? and What brand is on your crankset arms (e.g., Shimano or SRAM)?
Use our overview below to find what suits your bike:
Quick guide: How to check on your own bike:
-
Check your crankset arms: Look at the left or right pedal arm (where the pedal is attached). There is almost always a brand like Shimano (Ultegra, Dura-Ace, 105, etc.) or SRAM (Force, Rival, Apex, Red).
-
Examine the frame around the crankset:
Can you see threaded rings on the outside of the frame where the crankset goes in? Then you have BSA or T47.
Is it completely smooth into the carbon or aluminum frame without visible threads? Then you have a PressFit (BB86) type. -
Are you unsure?
Take a couple of pictures of your current bottom bracket and crankset, and send them to us by email or chat. We are ready to help you find the perfect model, so you don't buy the wrong one.
A bottom bracket always needs to be "broken in". You should expect to ride 100-200km before the bottom bracket and bearings are broken in.
*3-year warranty:
This bottom bracket comes with a 3-year warranty. The warranty assumes that the bearings have been properly maintained. For the warranty to be valid, documentation of ongoing service and maintenance (e.g., a receipt for workshop service or documentation of cleaning and re-greasing with ceramic bearing grease) must be provided in the event of a complaint. If this documentation is not available, the warranty is void. Normal wear and tear, riding with dried-out bearings, or damage caused by high-pressure washing is not covered. Replacement of the bottom bracket and/or bearings is at the buyer's expense and is therefore not covered by DKBIKE.
