Our DKBIKE carbon wheelset for rim brakes combines uncompromising stiffness, low weight and outstanding aerodynamics. With official UCI approval, these carbon wheels have been tested and certified for both hard training and licensed racing at the highest level.
Whether you are looking for a lightweight climbing wheel for mountains and hills or an aerodynamic profile for flat terrain and time trials, you can configure your new wheelset exactly to suit your ambitions.
Build your own DKBIKE carbon wheelset
We give you full freedom to customize your new bicycle wheels:
-
Rim height (Profile): Choose between 38 mm, 50 mm (UCI approved), 60 mm or the extreme 88 mm aero profile.
-
Rim width (External): Built with a modern external rim width of 28 mm, which provides an optimal aerodynamic transition and allows riding with modern, wider tires for lower rolling resistance and significantly higher riding comfort.
Hub selection:-
DKBIKE hub with standard bearings: Reliable, durable and with fantastic rolling performance for the price.
-
DKBIKE hub with ceramic bearings: For those chasing minimal friction losses and maximum watt savings.
-
DT Swiss 350: The legendary slider with DT Swiss' famous Ratchet system – unsurpassed reliability.
-
DT Swiss 240: High-end lightweight precision in absolute world-class quality for the rider who wants the best of the best.
-
Why choose DKBIKE carbon wheels for rim brakes?
Our wheelsets offer qualities and specifications you would normally only find in much more expensive high-end carbon wheels:
-
Official UCI approval (50mm profile): Ensures optimal strength, safety and approval for official cycling races.
-
Extreme stiffness & responsiveness: The rim's carbon layup ensures direct power transfer without energy loss when you pedal hard in the sprint or on climbs.
-
900-day warranty: We stand 100% behind the quality and offer a full 900-day warranty on the carbon rim.
-
Heat-resistant braking surfaces: Specifically designed for rim brakes, so you achieve smooth and controlled braking – even on long descents.
Remember carbon brake pads: To ensure maximum braking power and protect your carbon rims from wear and overheating, specific brake pads designed for carbon must be used. We recommend SwissStop Black Prince or equivalent quality pads (can be added at the time of ordering).
Tested and praised to the skies by Feltet.dk
DKBIKE's wheels have proven their worth on Danish roads. Denmark's largest cycling media outlet, Feltet.dk, has tested our wheelsets with excellent results:
-
Road test: Our carbon wheels are praised to the skies for their rolling properties and impressive rim stiffness, which provides maximum power transfer in every single pedal stroke. The rim's construction, fiber material and hub performance are identical on both our disc brake and rim brake models.
-
Gravel test: Feltet.dk has also tested our gravel wheelsets with top marks. We use the same high-quality carbon fibers across the platform – it is your guarantee of the same high breaking strength and durability, regardless of terrain.

Everything you should know about DKBIKE Road
Which profile should we choose?
Recommending a rim height, rim width and hub is difficult as it depends on what you are going to use the wheels for, i.e. what terrain they are going to be used in, rider type etc. If you primarily ride in Denmark, however, we would recommend a 50mm rim height, 28mm external width and DKBIKE hubs with ceramic bearings. With this wheelset you achieve good aerodynamics without becoming too wind-sensitive (primarily crosswinds/gusts), a beautiful aesthetic look on your bike, 28mm external width which means you can ride with tires in the width of 25-28mm (most common width for road), and last but not least DKBIKE hubs with ceramic bearings that simply roll absolutely fantastically. Here you get an absolutely fantastic Price/Value ratio.
A carbon wheelset with ceramic bearings for DKK 6,995 is simply spectacular and outstanding.
Highlights
- Patented hubs with reduced resistance = Incredibly smooth running hub
- 100% angle match in the spokes. Each individual spoke has 2 crosses for increased stability and strength
- If you want to drive with a lower profile on the front wheel and a higher profile on the rear wheel, you also have the option. You just have to state this in your order. An example could be a 50mm profile on the front wheel and 60mm on the rear wheel
- Rim brake - We recommend Swissstop brake pads for carbon rims
- Fits Shimano/Sram 11-speed as standard. If you drive 10-speed, note this in the comments field when ordering - we will then send the spacer.
- If you drive SRAM 12-speed, this must also be stated in the comments field when ordering.
- The box includes:
- Rim tape
Quick Release - Spokes: Pillar 1423 - Aerodynamic spokes
- Nipples: Sapim Secure Lock
- Max. rider weight (system weight): 130kg
- Our wheels are both for Clincher (Tyre/Tube) and Tubeless, i.e. you have the opportunity to try out the solution that suits you best - of course with the same set of wheels
What is the difference between ratchet and ceramic bearings?
The difference lies i.a. in the number of contact points between the cassette housing and the hub itself. In the Ratchet hub there are 36 against 6 in the hub with ceramic bearings. This means that the Ratchet hub is more durable and is really easy to clean and generally maintain. If you are mostly looking for a high-performance hub, ceramic bearings are slightly easier to roll.
If you want a high-performance hub, we recommend DKBIKE hubs with ceramic bearings. Hear the sound of ceramic bearings here
If you want a more durable hub and generally easier to maintain, we would recommend the ratchet hub. Hear the sound of the ratchet hub here
It does not require much experience to be able to maintain its wheels.
We have made a video where you can see how easy it really is to maintain your bearings.

How is the quality?
At DKBIKE, quality is crucial for us - we only sell carbon wheelsets of the highest quality and, of course, a quality we stand for 100%. We only use the very best carbon available on the market - Japanese Toray carbon.
Within the industry, these carbon fibers are known as the absolute best and strongest, which is the reason why we also only use these.
Our own DKBIKE hubs are also of the highest quality.
The hubs are crucial for low rolling resistance and stability, which has also meant that we have selected our 2 best hubs that you can choose from: Hub with standard bearings and hub with ceramic bearings.
Both hubs are top quality and roll great.
The hub with ceramic bearings has the same durability as the hub with standard bearings.
You will find the big difference in the rolling resistance, which is lower in the hub with ceramic bearings. With a price of Kr. NOK 6,995 for a carbon wheelset with ceramic bearings, it is our clear recommendation - it is quite simply the market leader.
