RoamX Gravel – 45mm Hooked Gravel Carbon Wheelset

Experience the ultimate upgrade for your gravel bike with RoamX. This wheelset combines an extremely wide rim with an incredibly low weight of just 1440 grams, making it one of the most impactful gravel wheelsets on the market. The wheels have been tested by Velomore.dk - They love the wheels

Wider, lighter and stronger

RoamX is designed with an internal rim width of a full 32mm. This means you get a much more stable base, significantly better grip in corners and the option to ride with lower tire pressure for maximum comfort without the tire rolling over, as the DKBIKE RoamX is hooked and therefore not hookless = the security you need.

Even though the profile is 45mm high and extra wide, the weight stops at just 1440g. This gives you the aero benefits on the straight sections and lightning-fast acceleration when the path rises.

RoamX features a Ratchet hub (36T) with ceramic bearings. The Ratchet hub is a very durable hub that suits the gravel ride really well, and combined with ceramic bearings, the ride also becomes smooth rolling.

Optional: DKBIKE Hub with 60T Ratchet & Ceramic Bearings (+ DKK 1,000)

The heart of the wheelset is our DKBIKE hub, which is equipped with ceramic bearings for minimal friction and incredibly smooth operation. The hub runs with a Ratchet system, which is a noticeable upgrade from standard hubs.

Upgrading to a Ratchet system is one of the most noticeable improvements you can give your bike. Where a standard wheel often has an annoying "freehub" before the hub bites, you get an almost instantaneous engagement here. This means that as soon as you pedal – whether you are accelerating out of a corner or need to tackle a steep hill – the bike reacts immediately.

In addition to the lightning-fast response, you get a hub that is built to last; by letting all the teeth engage at the same time, your power is distributed evenly, which minimizes wear and provides extremely reliable power transfer. It is pure mechanical luxury that can be felt in the legs and heard in the crisp, solid sound when you let the wheel roll

Benefits of 60T Ratchet (optional) standard is 36T:

  • Lightning-fast engagement: It removes the "freehub" in the pedals and provides an immediate response when you pedal.

  • Maximum durability: The Ratchet system distributes the load over all teeth at the same time, which makes it much stronger and more reliable than traditional pawl systems.

No limitations with Hooked design

RoamX is not hookless. This means you have 100% freedom to choose exactly the tires you prefer – whether you want to ride with tubes or tubeless. You avoid cumbersome compatibility lists and the low tire pressure limits that often come with hookless rims.

Everything you need to know about DKBIKE RoamX

  • DKBIKE RoamX is equipped with ceramic bearings for an incredibly smooth-running hub with minimal friction.
  • 60T Ratchet System: The hub is upgraded with 60 teeth, providing instant engagement. This means your power is transferred directly to the ground as soon as you pedal – a huge advantage in technical terrain.
  • RoamX rim: 45mm profile height with an external width of 40mm (32mm internal). This gives the tire an optimal profile, increased comfort, and maximum grip.
  • Not Hookless: We use a traditional hook design, which means optimal safety and the ability to use all tires.
  • Strength & Precision: 100% angle match in the spokes. Each individual spoke is laced with a 2-cross pattern to ensure maximum stability and strength under load.
  • Quality Components: Fitted with Pillar Aero lightweight spokes and nipples that keep spoke tension optimal over time.
  • Brake system: As standard for Centerlock. If you prefer 6-bolt mounting, simply specify this in the comments box when ordering.

No limitations - just go

With RoamX, you avoid the limitations often associated with hookless wheels. The traditional design with a hooked rim bead means you have 100% freedom to choose exactly the tire you prefer, whether you want to ride tubeless or with a standard inner tube. You don't need to worry about specific compatibility lists or the strict tire pressure limits that hookless setups require; the hooked rim ensures that the tire stays firmly in place, even when the terrain gets rough. This provides significantly higher safety and a more versatile riding experience, where the equipment adapts to you – and not the other way around.

02

60T Ratchet: No more dead zones – pure power transmission to the gravel

When you upgrade to a 60-tooth (60T) hub, you eliminate almost all the "play" normally found in the pedals. Instead of pedaling into thin air for a short moment before the wheel engages, you feel an instant bite as soon as you put down power. This is a huge advantage when riding on hills or through turns on gravel roads, where you need quick acceleration here and now. Since the system also distributes your pressure across all teeth at once, you get a hub that is far more robust and handles the abuse of gravel much better than a standard hub.

03

RoamX: Broader, lighter and faster than ever before

Wider rims are the absolute gamechanger for gravel because they fundamentally change the way your tires perform. By increasing the internal width to 32mm, you give the tire a significantly wider base, which eliminates the unstable "pear shape" and instead creates a stable, square profile. This means you can run significantly lower tire pressure without losing stability, resulting in an almost floating comfort and superior grip in both loose gravel and sharp corners. At the same time, you avoid the tire rolling under you when you push the bike, which gives you the confidence needed to ride faster and more technically in the terrain.
